Airport Leadership in Change

27th ACI EUROPE General Assembly, Congress & Exhibition, Paris, 12-14 June

The last week of September saw two parallel events that highlighted just how strongly airports are now competing with each other. The first was World Routes in Barcelona, where the route development teams of 750 airports big & small rolled out their pitches to airlines. The second was a gathering in Brussels, at which Oxera and ACI EUROPE released a new study on airport competition in Europe. Report by Elliot Bailey and Agata Lyznik.

Over €60m in funding to help airport operators prepare for the future

Following significant efforts by the SESAR Deployment Airport Grouping (SDAG, part of ACI EUROPE), some 15 European airport operators secured a total of €60m from EU funding for Air Traffic Management (ATM) modernisation. Barbora Smolikova gives us the details.

At the gathering of the regionals

The 10th ACI EUROPE Regional Airports Conference & Exhibition took place on 15-17 May in Cork, hosted by Cork Airport. Over 170 representatives from airports, airlines, industry suppliers and institutional stakeholders participated in this year’s event, which was on the theme of ‘A New Era of Engagement and Digital Innovation’.
