London City Airport achieves ACI Airport Health Accreditation

London City Airport has become the second in the UK to be awarded with certification from the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Health Accreditation programme. The programme, introduced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, recognises airports across the world that deploy world-leading health and safety practices.

Fraport expands fleet of temperature-controlled transporters at Frankfurt Airport

Fraport, owner and operator of Frankfurt Airport, will be using two additional state-of-the-art refrigerated trailers for the transportation of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products. This will take Fraport’s total fleet for cross-apron transportation up to 20 temperature-controlled transporters.

Aer Lingus Regional launches Leeds Bradford-Belfast City service

Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Stobart Air, marked the beginning of its new service from Leeds Bradford Airport to Belfast City Airport on 1 October 2020. The airline will operate up to three daily return flights on the route. Stobart Air will base five ATR72-600 aircraft at Belfast City Airport.

Frankfurt Airport implements measures to ensure safety of passengers and personnel

Frankfurt Airport has worked closely with other institutions to implement safeguards against contagion. “The safety of passengers and personnel is our top priority,” says Thomas Kirner, who is responsible for passenger services at Fraport, the airport’s operator. “We have honed these practices over the last few months and they are now very effective.”
