Airport parking – harnessing the internet to drive revenues
The role of pre-booking and the internet in airport parking is currently huge and shows no sign of decreasing. The UK has led the charge – first in call-centre reservations, and now in internet services. “It’s probably no exaggeration to say that in peak season, most people who have parked in long stay parking at UK airports will have pre-booked their space,” said Theresa Hughes, managing director, Chauntry. SSP Finland secures Helsinki-Vantaa contract
SSP Finland has won the competitive tender at Helsinki-Vantaa’s domestic terminal, which will see it operate four airside and landside units, including a restaurant, café and bars. SSP has also announced plans to open a number of additional bars and cafés in the airport’s international terminal. Ross Falconer reports.
