Over 40% of travellers – 1.7 billion passenger a year – pass through airports where Travelex operates. Travelex is set to enter Poland, its 29th market, with the opening of a new store and a multi-currency ATM at Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport.

“We’re looking forward to opening our doors in Łódź Airport prior to the Christmas rush. Our new shop and ATM will make it easier for passengers to spend whilst abroad but also make it easier for them to shop at the airport – which in turn could have a positive impact on the airport’s overall revenue,” Paul Brindley, Travelex’s Global Business Development Director, commented. “With five border crossings, and a population of almost 40 million, Poland is an important growth market for us. We hope that our Łódź opening marks the beginning of great things to come.”

Passengers will be able to buy and sell a whole range of different currencies within the store, which will be located in the departures hall. The multi-currency ATM will be located in the arrivals baggage area.
