SCARECROW ULTIMA V1, the effective bird and wildlife dispersal and data analysis system was first released in 2008, receiving acclaim from major airport operators around the world for creating a real time audit of dispersal procedures.
ULTIMA is designed for airside vehicle installation and creates an audit trail featuring date, time, location, system operator, species, flock size and dispersal direction. Its GPS function logs the vehicle’s airside position, maintaining a complete ‘due diligence’ record. USB flash-drives are provided for captured data to be transferred to the airport analysis system.
The wildlife selection screen automatically displays the most observed species relevant to the vehicle location, thus creating the fastest response opportunity. Graphical illustrations offer assistance when identifying species and this module has a multi-lingual capability.
ULTIMA V3 now includes the ability to identify grass management needs, weather conditions, and a Runway Inspection Module is available for reporting F.O.D, runway lighting maintenance and so on. The use of other dispersal methods, firearms for example, can also be noted.
In the event of an emergency during a patrol, where the vehicle may have to leave its location, the operator can log its GPS position, to later reposition to complete the airport patrol.
