The Wheelbox offers wheelchairs to travellers where they need them, when they need them. The AssistPort solution is designed to enable airports to offer airlines and their passengers a better and more economical service than conventional porters.

WWB Services Ltd. the creators of the Wheelbox, completely redesigned the product in 2008 to better serve airport needs, presenting the new Concourse Model with bagport at ACI EUROPE’s Airport Exchange event in Berlin.

The Wheelbox offers a suite of services, including front-end reservation data management, staff and asset management data, and the eponymous Wheelbox. The Wheelbox touch screen kiosk allows for instant reservations, voice communications to PRM control, and its RFID tagged chairs are easy located by both travellers and staff. The all glass and stainless steel design provides a visually elegant, secure and space-saving facility with minimal maintenance, while ensuring maximum visibility for security purposes.

bagport’s ground services team have raised the bar in quality passenger care, and their experience in automated customer service facilities led them to select the Wheelbox as the system of choice for their PRM services.
