Nice Airport completes first stage of Terminal 1 revamp

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is undertaking its largest-ever commercial renovation – one that it hopes will achieve its vision to create the “most surprising commercial experience in a European airport”, as Filip Soete, Chief Commercial Officer, told Airport Business’ Ross Falconer. The first stage of the Terminal 1 revamp has been delivered on schedule.

Frankfurt Airport begins construction of new Terminal 3

Frankfurt Airport held the ground-breaking ceremony for its new €2.5 billion Terminal 3 on Monday. Airport Business’ Jonathan Ford was in attendance and asked Dr Stefan Schulte, Chairman of the Executive Board of Fraport AG, about his vision for airline occupancy of the new terminal, the first phase of which will be completed by 2022.

New Abu Dhabi Airports CEO focused on delivering Midfield Terminal Building

Eng. Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei was appointed CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports in April 2015, and has served as a Board Member of the company since 2012. His initial priorities as CEO have included the ongoing development of the Midfield Terminal Building, which will transform Abu Dhabi International Airport, and the Capacity Enhancement Program at Terminals 1 and 3. He shared his vision with George Walter.

It is seeking to capitalise on Kaunas’ strategically-favourable geographic location by attracting a cluster of aviation-related companies, with phase one already complete.
