Munich Airport and bayern design present future innovative mobility solutions

What will mobility look like in the future? This question is being explored in a new exhibition – ‘Simply Move’ – staged by bayern design, the Center of Excellence for Design of the State of Bavaria, in cooperation with Munich Airport.

‘Simply Move’ covers topics ranging from self-driving cars and vertical take-off taxis to Munich Airport’s LabCampus innovation centre. Visitors can experience the nine exciting future visions in the Terminal 2 check-in area.

Along with participants such as BMW, Lilium and the German Aerospace Center, the exhibitors presenting their future mobility concepts include LabCampus, a 100% subsidiary of Munich Airport. Indeed, in the future, this interdisciplinary innovation campus might be the place where some of the concepts featured in the exhibition are adopted and implemented.

The 500,000sqm campus offers companies, research institutions, start-ups and creative people ideal conditions to collaborate on the development, testing and presentation of new products. In cooperation with the renowned Senseable City Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), LabCampus is being turned into a smart city, providing ideal conditions for testing innovative mobility solutions. Autonomous driving, e-mobility, sharing and pooling concepts and innovative micromobility ideas will become a reality in the LabCampus.

‘Simply Move’ marks the start of a five-part exhibition series highlighting innovative design achievements and products from Bavaria. Visitors can see it in the exhibition space in the south departure area of Terminal 2 until 27 February 2019.
