Hamburg Airport has launched a new digital shopping service – FillMyFridge.de – which enables passengers to order a range of tasty groceries for collection on arrival. The airport’s online shop concept allows passengers to choose the meal that will await them on their return – from a hearty supper to a fitness breakfast the next morning.

Travellers simply need to make their choice at least two days before their return to Hamburg, and place their order online. The shopping bags are then ready for collection when landing at the airport.
“We all know this situation, when we get back from a trip and the fridge is empty. The relaxed vacation feeling quickly vanishes. With our new online shopping service, though, anyone can extend the vacation a little and take everything they need for a hearty supper or a delicious champagne breakfast home in one of our FillMyFridge packets,” Lutz Deubel, Director of Center Management at Hamburg Airport, explained.
The new digital service is aimed primarily at a mobile target group used to the ease of stress-free online shopping. A partner was found right at the airport – the EDEKA Lars Tamme supermarket.
There are five different packets to choose from, ranging from the Basic and Fitness Packets to the Deluxe Packet with a small bottle of sparkling wine, croissants, salmon, and North Sea prawns. There is also a FillMyFridge Packet for vegetarians, with a soya spread and other vegetarian products. The Basic and Fitness Packets cost €10, while the Deluxe, Vegetarian, and Hearty variants are priced at €20.

The packets, ordered online, can be collected from the service counter at EDEKA Lars Tamme (Airport Plaza, Arrivals Level 0, publicly accessible area) up to 22:00 on the day of arrival.
