Bird Control Italy srl has developed a unique software system to assist airports with bird dispersal and risk assessment.
The company has been working at a national level in the Italian market since 1998 and is currently present as a supplier, adviser and service operator in over 20 civil aerodromes and 21 military aerodromes across Italy.
The Bird Strike Management System is customised for the needs of each individual airport and it can be utilised on the company’s website using a login and password, where relevant information can be logged and consulted.
The exclusive software system gives a Risk Coefficient regarding the presence of birds in aerodromes, providing information on the quantity, species and position on the gridmap. It then provides a Risk Assessment Evaluation based on this information. One of the many advantages of this system is the fact that it creates a database, thus enabling the management to have a clear overall picture of the situation at all times. Bird Control Italy srl also provides consultation and conducts environmental research alongside various experts in the field, and is also able to conduct, on behalf of Airport Management, training courses for airport personnel.
